Lenovo's new <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/01/03/lenovo-launches-ideapad-ideastation-laptop-and-desktop-lines/" rel="nofollow">IdeaPad notebooks</a> (I'd link Lenovo.com but it's not responding at the moment) are pretty rad if there's still any desire for Windows. Includes facial recognition (I'd assume someone's put together a Mac app for that though) and plenty more hardware bang for half the price of a MacBook Pro. And they're nice looking too. Definitely would recommend it over any other Windows laptop. RE: #7.
