I might just turn around as soon as I got to Washington, and just see how many times back and forth I can make it on a tank of gas. Instead of all that, though, I'd still rather spend the extra money and just fly out. I'm not nor have I ever been a fan of driving long (5+ hours) distances. Seeing how fast I could get through Idaho would be my primary reason for even going to Portland.
