tv thursday and friday

January 21st, 2006 | tv

In continuing with the week’s theme, Thursdays have gone from best to worst as far as TV is concerned. Interestingly enough, Thursday primetime TV slots are usually the biggest ad selling times of the week, mainly because of an increase of new movie ads in hopes to attract people to cinemas on Fridays. In my opinion, Thursday suck now. Sure there’s CSI at 8:00pm on CBS, but of the three CSI offerings I find the original to be the worst, mainly because the cases/plots lately are so weird that they’re hard to believe. FOX as moved the The O.C. to a later time slot to compete against CSI. Now I still watch O.C. and honestly I feel like I’m the oldest person in the world watching it. I still remember back during the first season when it was actually good. Now I watch it only in the hope that it will get good again…I’m still waiting. But, due to a trip to the Twin Cities this week I missed the show for the first time in a long time. Maybe this is my excuse to stop watching.

Friday TV is just as bad as Thursdays. It’s almost like the networks except normal people to be out doing stuff on Friday nights and not sitting on the couch watching television. The only show interesting enough to watch is Numbers, 9:00pm, CBS. I call it the nerd show, mainly because it’s based around using math to solve crimes. This isn’t exactly 2+2=4 math, more like “fill up a chalkboard with x, y, and z equations” math a.k.a. the crap I don’t understand. Amazingly the show isn’t too bad though. But, once again, I didn’t watch this week…mainly because it was a repeat this week.
