tv foils all my plans

January 16th, 2006 | tv

I had what I thought to be a fun idea for posts this week. Then, after looking through the TV listings, I saw that it wasn’t worth it. My plan was to go through day-by-day about the tv shows I watch on a regular basis. But the TV listings proved this wasn’t a good week to do it. I didn’t even need to look past the first two days to find problems with the plan.

Take Sunday for example. At 7:00 I watch West Wing on NBC, then switch over to FOX at 8:00 to catch Family Guy. I then usually sit through about 5-10 minutes of American Dad before thinking ‘this sucks compared to Family Guy’ and turn on the N64 to play some Mario Kart. Well, what do you know, this week FOX decided to show a 2-hour premiere of 24. So already Sunday’s schedule is messed up.

Next up: Monday. Mondays start at 7:30 with How I Met Your Mother on CBS. The show is so good I even watch the repeats, like this week. At 8:00 I would then normally switch over to NBC for Las Vegas. Well it just so happens this is the week NBC shows the Golden Globes awards instead. Crap. Anyways, just to finish it off, even though I’m getting sick of the same ole’ same ole’ CSI shows, at 9:00 I usually switch to CBS for CSI: Miami, the best of the three CSI shows in my opinion.

So yeah, maybe in the near future all the networks will show my favorite shows all in the same week. Actually, as impatient as I am, I might just continue on with the planned posts since I think the rest of the week stays the same anyways. Yeah, that’s what I’ll do. I love making decisions while I type.

You could get that Nintendo DS + Mario Kart and then you could play and watch TV at the same time.
